Meet Our Staff
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO and co-founder of American Safety and Equipment, Inc. (ASE), Sandra Aulbrook leads the development of new markets and financial directives. Sandra’s expertise in business development and new market innovation is a driving force behind ASE’s success today. She was the Marketing Developer and co-owner of a multi-million dollar pharmaceutical company in Puerto Rico, and has 12 years of sales management experience in wireless communication with international companies including Verizon Wireless, Cingular and T-Mobile. She supports numerous philanthropic organizations, including orphanages, overseas missions, community service projects, soup kitchens and local churches. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts and recently completed the Tuck School of Business program, “Building a High Performance Minority Business.”

President and co-founder of ASE, Dennis Aulbrook brings professional engineering, machinery and design expertise to our customers and to the safety community. His extensive knowledge in upgrading equipment of all varieties of machinery to meet OSHA, ANSI requirements and other governmental and industry standards has placed him as an industry forerunner. For 13 years, Dennis was a principal at A.M.R. Inc., a leading machine integrator located in Michigan. He holds certifications in such areas as Statistical Process Control, Hydraulics and Pneumatic Systems from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Fluid Power Society and other nationally-recognized institutions. He became a senior member of SPE in 1994 and currently sits on several ANSI & NFPA safety committees. Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and is considered an authority in machinery and machinery design.

Director of Energy Services
Rick Hart is a Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.) and has been involved with all aspects of energy management for over 25 years. He recently left the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to join our highly skilled team. For more than 20 years Rick was the Energy Manager for the third largest health care organization in the VA. While with VA, he chaired the Veterans Health Energy Engineers Advisory Board; served on the Secretary of VA Energy Task Force, and performed the duties of a facility energy manager. He brings with him a very broad range of experience in energy auditing, large photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar water heating, building automation, metering, thermal energy storage, energy procurement, green building certification, lighting, electrical systems power quality and energy management planning. A member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), he was awarded the Region IV Energy Manager of the Year in 2010 and the Corporate Energy Management Program in 2009. He was the President of the North Texas Association of Energy Engineers (NTAEE) where free energy audits are performed for non-profit organizations. Rick is a leader for the Certified Energy Manger (CEM) study group given by the NTAEE for boilers, heat recovery and thermal energy storage.
Project Manager /Machine Safety Division
Brian Davis is the Field Project Coordinator for ASE and is responsible for coordinating and implementing all field projects. Brian’s project management experience provides an efficient and cost effective experience for customers. He has worked for ASE for over two years and has over 10 years of experience as a licensed electrician. He apprenticed with American Builders and Contractors for four years prior to joining ASE. Brian was also the the former Project Manager for Miars Electric, and his work has allowed him to travel internationally as a trade engineer and electrician.

Purchasing Manager/ Engineering Coordinator
Continued development and flexible strategies has made Melissa Fisher, Engineering Coordinator, Technical Support, and Warehouse Operations Manager for ASE, an influential voice in the growth and sustainability of ASE’s product lines. Her customer service approach with purchasing, technincal reports, and inventory management is vital to ASE and has contributed to the company’s success. Since joining ASE in 2003 she continues to provide effective management and inventory controls. Melissa holds an Associate Degree in Science, and has completed further coursework in business.

Controller/ Inside Sales
With over tweleve years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry with additional experience in admininistrative areas of human resource, purchasing, scheduling and customer relations, Kristi Ward, is ASE's Controller. Her duties include assisting in overseeing all of ASE's financial operations. Kristi's detailed and precise finance calcualtions and projections have provided an excellent experience for ASE's customers.
